THE TIMES OF SERVICES FOR PASSION WEEK AND EASTER

 




April 12 (Saturday) Lazarus Saturday

10:00 a.m. - Divine Liturgy

(After the service there will be a blessing of the willow twigs branches and a procession around the church. Parents, please bring your children to this unique service).


April 13 (Sunday) Entry of the Lord Jesus Christ into Jerusalem - Palm Sunday

10:00 a.m. - Divine Liturgy


April 16 (Wednesday) Holy Wednesday

6:00 p.m. - The Sacrament of Holy Unction

(Bishop Irinej of Eastern America and Washington will officiate the service with local clergy. After the service, the faithful will be anointed with holy oil and will be able to take the same home).


April 17 (Thursday) Holy Thursday

10:00 a.m. - Divine Liturgy (The faithful will be able to receive Holy Communion).

  6:00 p.m.  - Vigil with the reading of the twelve Gospels about the Passion of the Lord.


April 18 (Friday) Good Friday

10:00 a.m. - Royal Hours

  6:00 p.m. - Vespers, Burial of the Lord and Lamentation of the Mother of God


April 19 (Saturday) Holy Saturday

10:00 a.m. - Divine Liturgy. (The faithful will be able to receive Holy Communion. After the service, children attending Sunday school will paint Easter eggs.)

11:00 p.m. - Resurrection Mattins


April 20 (Sunday) Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ - EASTER

10:00 a.m. - Festive Divine Liturgy (After the service, Drina folklore group will perform, and the festive holiday lunch will be served).


April 21 (Monday) Easter Monday

10:00 a.m. - Divine Liturgy


April 22 (Tuesday) Easter Tuesday

10:00 a.m. - Akathist to the Resurrection of the Lord
